universal request added in Australia upgrade.

In the Australia upgrade, a new module called “Universal Request” has been added. The requirement is to make this module (along with its submodules) visible only to users with the sn_hr_core.admin role (i.e., HR Admins).

I attempted to restrict access by creating a read ACL and assigning the role, but it did not work.
Can someone suggest the correct approach to achieve this?

Hi @GIR12

  1. In your ServiceNow filter navigator, type sys_app_application.list and press Enter.
  2. Search for the Universal Request application menu in the Name column.
  3. Open the record and update the Roles field to include only sn_hr_core.admin
  4. Click Update.

If the submodules are still visible , in that case update role there to sn_hr_core.admin

Hi @Tanushree Maiti

Thankyou for thi steps but I followed the steps but its working for non admins. Basically, it should only be visible for " sn_hr_core.admin" role. But now Admins are still able to see "universal requests" though they don't have sn_hr_core.admin role.

Thanks.

Hi @GIR12 ,

  1. Type cache.do in the Application Navigator to clear node caches across your instance.
  2. Impersonate a non-HR Admin user to confirm that the Universal Request module and its submodules no longer appear on their navigation pane.
