When did the ability to create/edit Core UI reports become deprecated.

We have known for a while that Core UI reports would be deprecated in favor of Platform Analytics.  We've planned for such in that our baseline reports we created as part of our product were migrated over to Platform Analytics.  However, we have noticed that even on Xanadu Patch9, we cannot create new or update existing Core UI reports.  We can run existing ones - just not edit them nor create new ones.  My question to the community is the following.  In what release was this "quietly" disabled?  Are there any release notes to such?  It isn't a full deprecation of Core UI reports but a soft deprecation.

Thanks in advance.

Please see below for release notes,

I believe they have updated documentation that goes back to Vancouver release that Core UI reporting is deprecated maybe as part of patch updates,

Hi @George Cutrell ,

It has never been quietly deprecated. According to documentation, it has been well known, if you migrate to platform analytics, then it will auto set that you cannot create new reports in the core UI reports. According to this documentation: https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/yokohama-now-intelligence/page/use/par-for-workspace/concept/... it is stated "Once migration is complete, you won't be able to add Core UI report"

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.

Hi @George Cutrell

ServiceNow introduced Platform Analytics in one of the Vancouver releases. Earlier, users were able to access legacy reports, but with later releases, ServiceNow has started phasing them out and restricting access to those legacy reporting modules for all users. That’s why you are not able to see them anymore.

What ServiceNow now provides is Migration of legacy reports and dashboards into Platform Analytics. Additionally, you can also create your own reports under the Data Visualization framework.
