Zing Global Search in Xanadu - Adding a table

Hi community

Recently I setup a new Xanadu instance for a customer.  The customer was using the ticket table and wanted this added to the global search, this shouldn't have been a problem.  I had done this quite easily on my PDI instance.

However, it has turned into a challenge on the customers instance for two reasons.

  1. The customer instance search results are displayed with the groups/tables listed across the screen, my PDI has the tables listed separately in a panel on the right of the screen (see attached images).
  2. The results from the new table are not displayed in the customer instance.

I have been searching KB's and cannot see what I've failed to configure.  I would appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Thank you

Hi @Peter Baker,

I believe your customer is using the AI Search, not Zing.

If you look at the links below, you can see the difference in the UI/UX between the two.

AI Search:

https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/yokohama-platform-administration/page/administer/ai-search/co...

Zing search:

https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/vancouver-platform-administration/page/administer/search-admi...

If you are using the AI search, you would need to add a search source for your new table to show up.

Cheers

Thanks James.  I was confusing the Now Experience Search Configuration name with the [AIS] Next Experience Search Configuration.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
