Escalation notification not working for alert when the maintenance field update to false

Alert created. Maintenance was initially false, then immediately set to true. After that updated to false the escalation notification should have to work as the alert is in open state

Hi @singhr14 ,

 

In your case, alerts reentering Maintenance and don't Re trigger Notifications. When an alert is marked back to maintenance = false, the system doesn’t automatically interpret this as a recurrence that should trigger an escalation. Maintenance transitions are not inherently handled by built in alert management rules or flows. The foundational alert frameworks focus on when alerts are first triggered. They don’t usually contain logic for re evaluating alerts that return from maintenance mode...

 

Instead, you can create a custom Alert Management Rule and Trigger escalation notification or another appropriate response or you can build a Flow, Start when maintenance is updated to false and Check alert state is Open then, Send notification, alert, or escalate..
