Giving users to access retired articles without knowledge Admin role

Hi,

I have to provide users access to articles that have been retired. However, access to the retired articles is restricted to knowledge admins only.
I don't feel considering giving the user the knowledge admin role. Since, it will provide them to modify all the articles without checking out.

Is there anyone that can help with this problem?

Thanks,
S Vignesh Roshan

Create an ACL as per your requirement but better to prov ide with specfic conditions

Hi @anvesh_v,
Yes I tried to create a custom read only role and created an ACL to access only the retired articles.
and given the role to the user. Still the user couldn't able to access it.
I have even added that user under the canRead user criteria of that knowledge base.
Could you please provide the steps if possible.

Hi @Vignesh Roshan ,

Why would you give users access to retired knowledge articles? You might need to look at why they are retired and if they actually should be retired or not instead.

why do you want to give access to retired articles..instead they should raise a request for access approval to who has access to articles to review that request and based on certain agreements provide access temporarily..

otherwise use any custom role and add in read ACL's with certain conditions
