Hide Activities from the notes tab

Hi Community,

How to hide activities from the notes tab when a checkbox is checked. I am able to hide the complete incident when this checkbox is checked if user is not the member of a group but these activities are showing under notes tab when this checkbox is checked.

How to hide activities as its not a field.

Hi @Poorva Bhawsar,

If I understand your question correctly, you want to hide the activities completely under the notes tab. Do you mind if I ask you to expand on the 'why' or what the requirement from the business is?

The reason I ask is, if the activities are completely hidden, what would the use of the 'Notes' tab be? You would want people to add Work notes for example but once entered for them not to be visible?

Is this just to certain groups (data related such as assigned to group) or for everyone?

A really quick way to achieve what you are asking for is to uncheck the 'All' option on the filter next to the Activities stream (as show below). If you set this as an Admin, this will hide the activities for all users (as shown below), but I am struggling to understand why you would want to implement this unless if only for certain users in which case access to a ticket should be controlled via ACL's or the query Business Rule.

I want to hide the complete incident when a checkbox is checked on the incident form. It should only be visible to a group or the people added in watch list and group list. I have created few acls on field level or table level which are hiding those fields based on these conditions.

Now, its only showing the activities, i mean the existing comments to those users other than this group , watchlist and group list peoples. As you have mentioned that i can uncheck this all checkbox but i dont want to do so, because definitely i need comments to be visible for other kind of incidents except that checkbox condition kind of incidents.

How can i hide only for this condition when this checkbox is checked.
