How to restore a group for a user

Hi All,

 

The user was on leave and the groups and roles that he had has gone now. How can i restore back the group for the user without using the any reference profile to replicate.

Question is incomplete. Please provide more details - how the groups and role of  that user had gone..Was it due to some cloning or something. I dont think anyone can answer on this incomplete question.

The user has lost all groups and roles that he was a part of , now how can we restore the groups and the roles back to the user again?
