Hi All,

I have some doubts related to interview questions :

1. If the data policy is written in the incident that makes the short description mandatory, how do you move the Excel data to the incident table if the short description data is not available in the Excel sheet?

2. What is authorization and authentication in ServiceNow?

3 . What is a scripted API, and can you give me any real-time examples where you have used it?

4. What is the difference between onStart, onAfter, onBefore, and onCompletion in the transform map? Can you give us any real-time examples where we will use these things?

Can anyone help relate this question it will be helpful for me

1) You need to uncheck the "APply to import sets" And it will allow you to bypass the data policy while insertion. 

2)

Authentication is the process of verifying a user's identity, confirming that they are who they claim to be, typically through credentials like passwords or biometrics.
Authorization, on the other hand, determines what an authenticated user is allowed to do, granting or denying access to specific resources or actions within a system.

In summary, authentication verifies identity, while authorization defines access rights

3)Scripted REST APIs is a collection of custom resources to get, post, update or delete data in tables externally. It is utilized when the requirement cannot be fulfilled by OOB resources.

I believe you have asked a lot of interview questions in recent days.

I will encourage to use ServiceNow docs, blogs and youtube to check those and you should be able to find answers to those easily.
