LDAP integration using SSL and LDAPs port 636

Hello All, 

Thank you for looking into my query , i need help on how to setup the LDAPS server and connect with AD, what certificates are needed for the same and which format is  supported by ServiceNow and were we need to attach those certificates in the Mid Server or on the LDAP server record .

Or If we can even skip using Mid server here if we are using LDAPS 636 & certificates(SSL).

Need to understand the best approach to handle this and build the integration.
