Mass Closure - Problem Tickets

I am in the middle of a project to close out items that have become orphaned or aged out.

What I found is there are 527 open Problem tickets going back as far as 2020.

These are all being assigned to a group that has no members in it, and we have found there is no work being done on these.  They just seem to exist.

The more recent ones I have in the list have been created out the resolution of a Major Incident. Looks like there was a rule implemented that when a Major Incident is resolved, it opens a Problem, while that is fine, there is no one that is monitoring this and now I have this ...

 

If I go to the table view, I want to just close them out, however when I change to Completed or Closed, they go right back to New as the conditions have not been met.

Is there a way to close them in bulk instead of having to manually move each through the phases and complete?
