Prevent long file name from cutting off

Hello,

For auditing purposes, users need to view the entire file name. When checking the attachment table, the file column is already set to 100. Does anyone know of a way to fix this from happening? Below are some examples that show the file name getting truncated:

This is expected by Default in ServiceNow.

• This issue can occur in any release/version.
• The attached file is not affected and can be used further.
• The file name is visible till 100 characters and rest is truncated.

To prevent this, you can change the max length attribute of 'File Name' field in sys_attachment table.

Hi Sumanth,

I updated the File Name field, but nothing changed. On the screenshot below, you can see that the file name is still cut off.
