Recent Dashboard list in Platform Analytic Workspace not reflects latest dashboards after page loads

Hi Community,

I'm trying to understand whether the following behavior is expected or if it may be a product issue.

Environment

• ServiceNow Platform Analytics Workspace
• Dashboard selector (Recent Dashboards)

Issue Description

When a user switches between dashboards using the dashboard picker, the Recent Dashboards list updates correctly during the session.

For example, after opening different dashboards, those dashboards appear under Recent Dashboards as expected.

Additionally, I verified that the user preference record: com.snc.par.dashboards.ui.preferences

is updated and contains the recent dashboard information.

Observed Behavior

After refreshing/reloading the page, the Recent Dashboards section consistently displays the same set of dashboards, such as:

• Aakash Mani
• Accounts Payable Dashboard
• Alexis Dashboard
• Analyst View

regardless of the dashboards that were recently opened during the previous session.

Validation Performed

• Confirmed that dashboard switching updates the Recent Dashboards list during the active session.
• Confirmed that com.snc.par.dashboards.ui.preferences is updated with recent dashboard values.
• Cleared browser cache and retested.
• After page reload, the Recent Dashboards section reverts to showing the same dashboards instead of the latest accessed dashboards.

Questions

1. Is this expected behavior in Platform Analytics Workspace?
2. Does the Recent Dashboards section use a source other than com.snc.par.dashboards.ui.preferences after page reload?
3. Is there a known limitation, cache mechanism, or system property that controls how Recent Dashboards are populated?
4. Has anyone observed similar behavior in their instances?
