Can you please tell why I am getting this visibility error in SC Task after changing state from open to WIP?

That looks to be a business rule running either as a before query or on display. Have a look for any business rules that are adding that message.

Equally, it could be a client script or UI polic

I have checked all of the above you mentioned but there was nothing which is adding that error message.
