Restricting article updates to authors or knowledge managers

hi would anyone be prepared to share the recommended approach to restricting article updates to authors or those with the knowledge manager role?  As I understand it this isnt provided out of the box.  Thanks!

hi thankyou but I am not looking to restrict the read access I am looking to make sure knowledge article authors can only update their own articles (as well as knowledge managers)

Understood your requirement. For this you have to create business rule
