On the sn_customerservice_case table, the field Product is a reference to the cmdb_model table. The requirement is: when a user selects a product in this field, three fields on the case — category, model, and sub-category — should automatically populate from the selected product record.
Currently, I have tried:
onChange Client Script – but it doesn’t work correctly for all records and sometimes breaks in between.
GlideAjax approach – but it’s also not giving the desired result consistently.
I am looking for a robust and reliable solution to auto-populate these fields whenever a product is selected.
Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
