Or at least set the Web client as the default option.

It only affects the platform view though.

I would recommend to use 'Agent Workspace Guided Set up'. There you should focus 'Workspace Agent Chat' item and it will route it to 'sys_cs_live_agent_setup.' There you can check the feasbility.
