Visual Task Board - Tags not labels

Does anyone know if I can add tags and a tag filter to a VTB guided board? 

 - FYI:  I'm not talking about labels... these tags (global tags) are available when looking at the defects and enhancements in a list view

Out-of-the-box there's no opportunity to do such.

Even if you do add the tags through list view, the VTB does not seem to account for them in the filter even when selected.
