Work notes showing in Activity tab of custom table as Work notes(work_notes)

Hello!

I have a custom table and created a custom field called Work notes (u_worknotes). However, in the Activities section of the ticket. I'm seeing the below.

How do I update to only display "Work notes"?

Have you changed the form configured?

I tried the same, it works fine for me, you might want to make the changes using form designer and also use configure activities filter to include the custom work notes field.

Is this table extended from 'task'? I think you have two fields called 'work notes' on your table now and the one in your screen shot is the OOB one. ServiceNow will automatically add the technical name of the field, when 2 fields have the same name. If your u_worknotes field had a label like 'Work note' (without the 's') you wouldn't have this issue. Changing the label of your custom field will solve it.

@Mark Manders You are correct, the custom table is extended from the Task table. I've also tried renaming the custom field to a different field label name but it did not work. Is there something else that I need to do?

There may be some caching issue. Can you log out and back in/clear cache to see if that solves it?
