How to manually end a conversation

Starting to use the VA in a new environment (sandbox) and when trying one of the ootb topics, it attempts to search the knowledge base but no response is returned. Now the conversation is stuck and there are no options to end the conversation or reset the VA so that we can start a new conversation and continue doing testing. Any ideas what can be done when there are no visibible options to end the conversation? See image below:

Thank you Marcelle. What's strange is that the OOTB topic hadn't been modified yet. I had duplicated the OOTB and customized it and the developers have helped us in getting the search to work on the customized topic. The environment has been refreshed now so hopefully the issue on the search is gone. The text input and the close conversation icon were disabled, reason why we couldn't end the conversation using commands or clicking the icon.

is the NLU enabled at that node (what type of ...) in the conversation? if yes try to disable it then try again.
