In Virtual Agent, the conversational catalog item auto populated fields can't auto populate

In Virtual Agent, the conversational catalog item auto populated fields can't auto populate, even it pops up all the default/auto generated value in virtual agent already, and I have selected "yes, continue", but it still asked to me asked the user to select the field value one by one. Why?

Hi @Lisa71 ,

Check variables on your catalog item, you will find a variable that has the "Mandatory" box checked, but the "Default value" field is empty. If that mandatory field should always have a value, give it a default value.

Thanks. However we don't have a static value but a calculated value like auto populating the current login user's phone number, populate the user's site name to the form's site name. In the original catalog item, we have client script to auto populate those fields, however in the virtual agent, those can't be populated via conversational catalog item.
