Hello Everyone,
Just wondering if Now Assist supports integrations with external MCP servers or API based Agents?
For example, I have an AI agent built with langChain that does some automation like adding records to Excel sheets.
Is there a way to allow using this kind of Agent within Now Assist? or I have to migrate all the solutions I have to be inside Service Now?
So, I'm basically wondering if I can somehow allow NowAssist users to use a chatbox to interact with that external AI Agent that would allow them to retrieve or do some actions like adding content to the excel sheets.
and does Now Assist skill kit allows that integration using MCP or it has to be API based?
Cheers.

The following is under Safe Harbor. In Q3 we will release AI Agent Fabric to support Agent to Agent interoperability and MCP. For MCP (Agent-to-tool) we will support the Anthropic MCP Client, tool and resource connections on external MCP servers. MCP can be used by our AI Agents as well as Now Assist skill kit. If you are part of the Innovation Lab program you can test out the MCP capabilities today (ask your ServiceNow account team how to become part of the program).

Hi,
Has this feature been released and made generally available?
Cheers.
