Hi Team,

We have a requirement to broadcast a message to all users using MS Teams Now Virtual Agent and Virtual Agent in service portal. How can i do that? Is it possible?

Use case:

1) whenever a new topic is going to publish or live, I want to inform all users like "A New topic is going to be available from tomorrow for your service". OR

2) if any outage occurs, inform to users "Outage is going to happen"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Chaitanya naram,

This is just from the top of my head, but maybe it gets you going:

Just create a notification and send it to the necessary users.

You can check the default Teams notifications in the Notification Content - Virtual Agents [sys_notification_va_content] table (Microsoft Integrations - Core application) and create a new Notification +  Notification content for Topic publish / Outage. Based on your exact requirements record or event trigger is required. You should also set the Who will receive part for the appropriate users.

I haven't done any portal specific notifications so I don't know how exactly it is. I tried to follow the docs, but couldn't succeed. Maybe you will have better luck:
Configuring Virtual Agent notifications (servicenow.com)

"Notifications are sent to recipients via the Virtual Agent bot in the web client, pre-built messaging integrations (for example, SMS TwilioSlackMicrosoft TeamsWorkplace from Facebook services, and Facebook Messenger messaging platform), and custom chat integrations."

So it should be possible.
