I am currently working on investigating if a group is used anywhere in the logic of the flow or workflow. If anyone has a way so i do not actually need to go around one by one through records.
thanks

I used this link to find in flow and it helped to some extent
Flow Designer - Search through flows efficiently with scripts
for workflow check this
How do I find all the workflow catalog tasks assigned to a specific assignment group?
How to report on what workflows are using specific groups for catalog task and approvals

We use Fix script (background script ) to search specific group in Workflow/flow.
From front end for workflow ,
- Navigate to the sys_variable_value table: In the filter navigator, type sys_variable_value.list and press Enter.
- Filter the records:
- Add a filter condition where Value contains the group's sys_id you copied (check with group name as well, if developer misses to follow best practice)
You will get Activity ->from there you will get Workflow version.
Check from which ACTIVE catalog (sc_cat_item), that workflow is associated.
For Flow: As @Ankur Bawiskar mentioned check this link: https://www.servicenow.com/community/servicenow-ai-platform-forum/flow-designer-search-through-flows...
