Within the Change application, when relating affected CIs and the proposing a change I would like to know if anyone has used any features or developed any functionality which can generate approvals depending on the field being updated.
For example, if a service has its Business criticality updated on a change, can specific approvals be generated by looking into the xml and then sending an approval to the service introduction team? If on the other hand, a different field was updated such as the service owner, then an approval is sent to the new service owner?
The above use case seems to be a good fit for Decision tables, but I'm not sure how it could read the xml etc. I'm looking to minimise tech debt and use best practices wherever possible. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.
