Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) transforms the workplace experience by combining seamless user interactions with smart building administration capabilities to optimize corporate real estate.
At Knowledge 2025, we’re proud to showcase WSD’s capabilities as it powers the Meeting Center, transforming the space into a smart, interactive environment that enhances attendee experiences. This initiative integrates WSD with JiffleNow which is a tool used to make reservations for meetings at Knowledge. The solution leverages live reservation data and combines it with real-time occupancy information, digital signage, and interactive services kiosks.
To bring this solution to life, we have leveraged existing partnerships with our trusted hardware providers to support the following use cases:
- Location and wayfinding kiosks: Kiosks featuring touchscreen monitors are being strategically installed throughout the meeting center’s reception areas. The kiosk offers attendees an interactive location directory with an indoor mapping display that shows real-time reservation and occupancy status, enabling intuitive turn-by-turn wayfinding and sharing insights on space usability.
- Digital Signage: We are incorporating digital signage across the different areas within the meeting center. IAdea’s panels are strategically placed outside of the conference rooms, to deliver key meeting details such as the meeting host names.
For open workspaces, Embrava provides desk signs, that allow the attendees to quickly identify their reserved spaces. This makes it easier to maximize the utilization of the space
- Real Time Occupancy: With Avuity’s occupancy sensors, event planners are able to gain insights on data points such as number of occupants detected, air quality, noise level and luminosity to determine whether the room is occupied or not. This data also enables real-time decision-making, like automatically adjusting reservations if no activity is detected within the first five minutes of a meeting.
The first phase of this solution involves integrating Workplace Service Delivery (WSD) with JiffleNow. To achieve this, we leveraged WSD’s out-of-the-box capabilities, such as workplace connectors, a flexible framework designed to integrate various types of data, including badging systems, occupancy metrics, air quality, and temperature sensors in order to gain insights.
As shown in the architectural diagram, sensor data is ingested via workplace connectors, while reservation data flows from Jiffle into ServiceNow. Using WSD’s built-in capabilities such as Reservations, Location Directory, and Workplace Services Kiosk, the combined data is then displayed on digital signage across meeting rooms and floor desks, providing an enriched experience to everyone involved.
With Workplace Service Delivery powering the Knowledge 25 meeting center, we are introducing a smarter and better experience for everyone involved, from attendees to administrators and event planners.
Impactful benefits this solution brings:
- Attendees get to experience a user-friendly environment featuring clear floor plans, wayfinding guidance, and real-time room availability ensuring an enhanced meeting experience.
- Meeting center administrators are enabled with proactive management capabilities like reallocating unused spaces and tracking real-time occupancy.
- Event Planners in the years ahead will gain insights into room utilization, supporting them to optimize spaces according to actual occupancy trends and helping them to improve the overall meeting center usability.
As WSD transforms the K25 meeting center, it sets a new standard for intelligent collaboration spaces, aligned with exceeding employee expectations. By enhancing the attendee experience, providing planners with actionable insights, and maximizing the use of space, this solution showcases the value of working with connected smart spaces.
Bringing this technology into everyday workplace environments unlocks powerful opportunities to improve both employee experience and space utilization. By extending these smart capabilities, like real-time occupancy, wayfinding, and more automated reservation processes into corporate offices, employees benefit from an outstanding experience. At the same time, workplace and facilities teams gain visibility into how spaces are actually being used, enabling smarter planning, reducing waste, and improving responsiveness to employee needs.
