So we have been switching over to Indoor mapping and I have had a few problems I originally thought were just because some of our CAD files were hastily updated, however now I had one I have to ask for it to be fixed, only to find it already had been. When I open a drawing with AutoDesk viewer, the drawing looks perfect. When I use the exact same drawing for a floor in ServiceNow for Indoor Mapping, it shows something different. It is the same map, but almost like the version ServiceNow sees is a previous version of the drawing when they were half finished with the most recent changes. I deleted it and pulled it back in, same problem. I had someone with AutoDesk make a change to the drawing and save it, and it still looks different between a standard viewer and in ServiceNow.
Anyone seen this before or familiar with what could cause ServiceNow to not show the same thing as a standard CAD viewer?

I sent this in to be looked at and they have created a problem to address this. In case anyone has a similar problem it is PRB1831190 I haven't tried the workaround yet but the suggestion was to use the legacy method for uploading the file. We will have to trim them down a bit to use the legacy tool, so I'm holding off until I find all the drawings that need to be sent back to be reduced.

Hi Travis,
I'd start by taking a look at this blog entry and the attached files
Looking at your file, it looks like you have to many layers/polygons for ServiceNow to read. When you load them into the tool, do you see any Yellow Banners advising that polygons are missing/not closed or have to many to load? We've found in the past simplifying the CAD helps a lot in loading and managing the space.

I have not seen that here, seems like we did see something similar to what you are describing when we were on Vancouver, but I believe we stopped having any issues after we upgraded to Washington DC. And currently I'm not seeing any warnings.

The disparity between the two maps is a set of desks, which are below when I look at the full drawing. Like the person designing it in CAD created the desks in another spot, and then move it up and saved it. If something was just missing I would probably think too many layers and it stopped loading, but it is almost like this is a different version previously saved when they were only half done updating the drawing.

Is it possible that the two additional desks are saved on a different Layer than the other spaces on your CAD file, If you right click the desk poly and select properties in your CAD editor, are the two missing desks on the same layer as the other desks? I recently uploaded a CAD file to our ServiceNow where 4 desks had been saved to the the desk named layer by mistake so never showed as spaces in ServiceNow. Going back and changing the layer to the correct desk_outline group and reuploading the file corrected the problem.
