  • Configure the integration between CPQ and Order Management so that users can create an order directly from a completed quote.

    Before you begin

A connection to the Order Management instance must be configured. For information about configuring connections, see the connection configuration topic.

    Role required: admin

    About this task

Once a quote is approved and completed, users can create an order through the create order event in Transaction Manager. The create order event calls the Order Management Create Order API, passing the quote lines and header data as input. In the current release, this integration requires administrator configuration.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > CPQ Administration > Integrations.
    2. Select New and configure a service call to the Order Management Create Order API.

Set the connection to the Order Management connection configured in the prerequisite step. Set the endpoint to the Create Order API path.

    3. Map the quote header and line fields to the Create Order API request parameters.
    4. Associate the service call with the create order event in the blueprint.
    5. Select Save.

    Result

When a user selects Create order on a completed quote, Transaction Manager calls the Order Management Create Order API and creates an order from the quote data.
