Add an opportunity associated contact

  • Create opportunity for associated contacts to identify each contact’s role when multiple stakeholders are involved.

    Before you begin

    Role required: opportunity_writer

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to List view and select Opportunity - All.
    2. From the Opportunity List window, select the opportunity you want to work with and select the Contacts tab.
    3. Select New to associate a contact from Account hierarchy or select an existing contact to make changes.
      Note:

      Applicable only for Account-based opportunities and not consumer-based opportunities.

    4. Fill in the fields in the Opportunity Associated Contact form.

      Fields Descriptions
      Opportunity The opportunity number.
      Contact Name of the customer contact.
      Opportunity Role Role assigned to an opportunity associated contact. Following contact roles (Related party types) are shipped by default:
      • Business user
      • Decision maker
      • Economic buyer
      • Evaluator
      • Executive sponsor
      • Influence

      However, more roles can be configured.

      Account Account of the contact.
      Primary Primary opportunity role.
      Notes Enter work notes for reference.
    5. Select Save.
      The Opportunity Associated Contact information is added to the main opportunity.
