Hi Community,
I have created a custom approval table in ServiceNow where I’ve added a "Submit for Review" button on the form. I also send an email notification to the manager for action. I want to show a "Submit for Review" button or link inside that email, just like the default Approve/Reject buttons. When the manager clicks this from the email, it should trigger an inbound email action. I also have a field called Manager Remarks which should be mandatory when the manager performs this action through email. If remarks are not provided, the system should not allow the record to be submitted. I have already created the inbound email action and it updates the record based on the keyword, but I need help with how to generate the email link for the custom action and how to validate Manager Remarks in that process. Please suggest a simple way to achieve this.
Thanks,
Varinda Girdher

you can show the extra button along with Approve/Reject buttons.
You cannot validate if manager entered the remarks or not.
When manager received email, he/she will reply using outlook and then when email is received in instance inbound email action will be triggered.
how will you validate if remarks are entered or not?
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
