What is the best way to design the data model for a custom application in App Engine Studio?

If I am creating an app in ServiceNow App Engine Studio, how should I organize the information and tables that the app will use?

Everything will be covered within the App Engine story. The only differences will be in specific areas such as integrations, data, and user visibility/access, which will be addressed accordingly.

Hi @SuhebM

When you will open your app in app engine studio , you can see Data tab over there.

The Data tab in ServiceNow App Engine Studio (AES) is the core section used to build, manage, and structure the data model for your application.

Leveraging table extension and inheritance inside the dedicated Data tab allows you to quickly build robust data models .

When creating an app in ServiceNow App Engine Studio, first organize the information by identifying the main business objects and deciding which tables are needed. Reuse or extend existing ServiceNow tables where possible, and create custom tables only when necessary. Define relationships between tables using reference fields instead of duplicating data, choose appropriate field types, and separate master data from transactional data. Also consider security and who should have access to each table.
