How deep ServiceNOW CMDB and AI Control Tower are interconnected to leverage out of box capability before we work on anything more to get more business context for AI inventory we have.

According to the CSDM 5.0 white paper , there are 2 CI classes that support AI: AI Function [cmdb_ci_function_ai] and AI & Model Application [cmdb_ci_appl_ai_appplication]. AI function is for externally developed and hosted AI CIs and the AI & Model Application class is for the internally developed and hosted AI items. The only place they overlap is at the top level cmdb_ci which makes zero sense to me. Supposedly it has to do with how AI Control Tower (separate module of ServiceNow) views the world. After looking through the available documentation, I'm still at a loss for the rational.

There are also several asset tables and product models that are part of AI Control Tower, but strictly speaking, are not part of the CMDB hierarchy. I'm also at a loss as to how to connect the items in the various asset tables to the aforementioned CI tables: AI Function [cmdb_ci_function_ai] and AI & Model Application [cmdb_ci_appl_ai_appplication].
