If there are multiple CI connected with the incident or change would it be better to create a bidirectional sync where you could just fill in the Affected CI and the first item in the list would be filled in as the configuration item in the form.
What is the reason that we should fill in the configuration item field on task forms instead of just the Affected CI?

Previously there were no 'affected ci's', it was just one incident on one ci. That has been changed, but the field is still there. It can help in cases you do just have one ci (the printer on the 3rd floor is smoking). Often the 'affected ci's' come from automation, while the creation is done on one ci.
