Hi,
What is best practices for certifying relationships in CMDB?
I've tried to manage this in both CMDB Certification Console and CMDB Data Manager with attestation and certification. My thought is that this is focusing on maybe more attribute level. But I can of course be wrong.
My idea as CMDB Manager is that the service owner should certify there ongoing relationships towards there services, maybe two times a year. So we know that relationships is accurate.
Will give you just an example.
Application Service "ABC" has relationship to 3 windows servers.
Twice a year i want the service owner for "ABC" to certify that the relationships is accurate.
What is the best way for doing this on regular basis during the year?

I’m facing the same challenge.
We’re using attestation of application services but it’s far from perfect. My feeling is that some service owner just click through without understanding and reviewing.
Certification works much better for attributes (some non-discoverable attributes) but seems there’s no solution for relationships.
I was also considering certification on cmdb_rel_ci table but it’s not the best.
interested to see what anybody else is doing in this space.
