Hi,

I'm looking for a definition of CI Class vs. CI Type.

Anyone has a idea, the documentation haven't been really helpful regarding this.

Thanks,

Frank

Hi @Frank Eck

maybe the following page can be helpful for you: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/sandiego-it-operations-management/page/product/service-mapping/ta...

Kind regards

Hey,

CI type and class are used interchangeably.

Even if you take example of Task table, the backend name suggests "sys_class _name" but label states Tast Type:

Create CI types for Service Mapping and Discovery

Feel free to mark correct, If I answered your query.

Will be helpful for future visitors looking for similar questions 🙂
