Cisco wireless access point disocvery

Arjun Arjun

Hi ,

I’m working on ServiceNow Discovery to identify Cisco Catalyst Access Points  managed by a Cisco Wireless Controller.

This returns what Cisco calls the Base Radio MAC address, which is used as the AP’s identifier.

However, I’m trying to confirm if there’s any SNMP OID that returns the actual AP (Ethernet) MAC address instead of the Base Radio MAC.

what should do for getting AP MAC Address in wireless access point?

Thanks

Hi Abbas,
Thanks for your reply. This pattern is updating the Base Radio MAC, but I want to update the AP (Ethernet) MAC address for each CI.

Hi @Arjun Arjun

Below link will help you search for the SNMP OID for the Mac Address. Simply search of the base snmp oid in the search bar and look word mac address you will be able to figure out the Mac Address. Please refer to the below screenshot as well.

To test this out SNMP oid go to debug mode of the pattern and do the SNMP query. you should be able to get the MAC Address in the output.
