Dashboard, a data model or a defined dataset AS A configuration item (CI)

Hello CMDB family -
We had an interesting request to be able to name a Dashboard, a data model or a defined dataset AS A configuration item (CI) from systems like: DataBricks, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate.
I am not sure Discovery will get to the Dashboard level and be able to name and track it as a CI.
Has anyone ventured to this level to track data intelligence objects as CIs?

Hoping someone out there has done something similar (define a CI that is kinda ethereal) and would be willing to share your experience.

Thank you!

@HeyMarkWarmack  As far as I know, discovery can discover if an IP address is associated with a CI. Is any IP address associated with Dashboard/defined dataset?

Also, they are not on a network and can't be used on any ITSM task tables as CI. Why would anyone want Dashboard to be a CI?

These Reports or Data Models are critical to other business processes, so yes, it is a bit ethereal to track a 'report' but the Data Intelligence team's output for the company wants to associate that report CI to a business process to identify a dependent item (yes, without an IP address).

To show it in Service Mapping.

I too am used to the concept of if it has an IP, I can Discover and track it.  This is a step beyond the 'known' and walking into the 4th dimension.   Why I am asking if one else has successfully done it before, or something like it.
