I am looking for advice on what class is best to use for Virtual Load Balancers, and if anybody has experience and could recommend a discovery tool for virtual load balancers.

I think you need SNPV3 credentials and port 161 open,  Watch out for firewall rules opening TCP161 instead of UDP161.
