Hello, I am an IT Analyst for ITAM. I plan on continuing to develop CMDB skills and staying in ITAM. I am currently doing the system admin career path and plan on getting the CSA this year. I have completed the HAM and Discovery implementation courses, but I have not taken certification exam for either. I am wondering if the Implementation Specialist - Discovery certification worth getting? Would you recommend the HAM cert as well? Thanks!

Since you already have experience in the CMDB domain and have completed training in Discovery and HAM, you're in a great position to proceed with the exam.
Taking the exam will provide you with more confidence and significantly enhance your profile during your job search.
However, if you feel you need more time, consider doing some hands-on practice first, and then aim to take the exam in 3-4 months. Either way, you're on the right track! 🚀

My intention is to help clarify your thoughts—don’t rush into certifications immediately. Focus on gaining hands-on experience first and then move forward.
If you feel confident in HAM, go for that certification first. However, if you think you need more time, it’s perfectly fine to wait.
Also, consider the type of job openings you’re targeting and which certifications are in demand for those roles. If you’re aiming for HAM-related jobs, then prioritizing this certification would make sense.
