A user has asked if we can add filters to the Map Filter found in the Unified Map. Specifically, they'd like to filter out any Application Service which is not Production.

Hi,
Note: I haven't implemented this solution myself, but after searching through the community and product documentation, I found this information. Please check it out:
To add a filter selection in the CMDB Workspace Unified Map filter control to filter out Application Services that are not Production, follow these steps:
-
Access the Unified Map:
- Navigate to Workspaces > CMDB Workspace.
- Open the Unified Map view where the map displays your configuration items (CIs).
-
Open the Filter Panel:
- In the Unified Map, locate and click the Filter icon (usually found in the map's toolbar or control panel).
-
Configure the Filter:
- In the filter panel, click Add Filter to add a new filter condition.
- Select Application Service as the filter field.
- Choose the condition to filter by:
- Set the condition to is or equals.
- Set the value to Production (or the equivalent environment name in your instance). Ensure that the Application Service records have an environment field (like Environment or Application Service Environment) to filter on.
-
Apply the Filter:
- Once configured, click Apply to update the map and show only those Application Services with the Production environment.
Additional Considerations:
-
Field Availability: Make sure that the Application Service CI has a field like Environment (e.g., Production, Development, etc.). If it doesn't, you may need to create a custom field or ensure the environment classification exists.
-
Negative Filter: If you need to exclude non-Production environments (i.e., filter out everything that's not Production), ensure the condition is set to is not or does not equal instead of is.
If you believe the solution provided has adequately addressed your query, could you please **mark it as 'Helpful'** and **'Accept it as a Solution'**? This will help other community members who might have the same question find the answer more easily.
Thank you for your consideration.
