How 'Duplicate of' field in CMDB works?

Hello,

Is the field 'Duplicate of' on CMDB table still valid? If so how does it work?

I have 2 windows servers with same name. But the 'Duplicate of' is not showing anything.

Hi Suggy,

 

That depends on your identification rule also you need to activate your CMDB dashboard scheduled jobs. The correctness scheduled job would look for the existing ci and identify duplicates in case that is missed during discovery or some other CI's which doesn't use the IRE engine.

Hi @Vivek.Sattanatha All the jobs are active only. Still its not working. 

Is there anything specific that I need to check on the identification rule?

PS - Its a new instance, with no modifications to IRE
