How long does it typically take to setup and configure the CMDB health dashboard

I am looking at setting up the CMDB health dashboard, can anytime tell me how long this normally takes "start to finish"?

Hi William,

It does depends on what you want to display on your CMDB health dashboard. If you do not want to customize and just want to go with OOB health dashboard then it can take few minutes to set up. You will have to enable the different jobs which are running and fetching the data from CMDB and that's it. Your dashboard is set up for basic reports.

If you're interested in "data quality metrics", you might want to check this Built on Now app. It's more visual, intuitive, and dynamic than the OOB options. Reporting is available on many different levels and it includes a data governance model and structure to consider different roles related to data management.

Hi William,

You have to enable the schedule jobs of metric collection

You can select the CI classess for which you need to enable health

You can set up the orphan rules, and configure other metrics from CI Class Manager

Depending upon the no of classess you want to monitor. I guess a days work to configure everything
