ITOM License

Hi Team,

 

Good day!

 

In our instance we purchased only 1200 ITOM license but we utilized 1700 license. We need to minimize it.

So, I have been change the state as "Operational status" and "Installed" as "retired".

If this will reduce the ITOM license, or else do we need to deactivate the "Schedule jobs" too.

 

Someone please help us.

If you scan a server that is set to retired and it is actually running it will be set back to Installed. So if you actually have more active servers than the 1200 SU's you need to limit your discovery IP ranges to only include the 1200 you would like to manage.

Also remember that the number is a 90 days average so just changing to retired will no have the number drop immediately, it will will lower over time.
