Hello everyone,
We are currently building a CMDB through Discovery and data input.
As we proceed with registration, one concern is how many records in the CMDB will start affecting performance.
If performance is affected, I believe we need to consider physically deleting records at that point.
If anyone knows specific limits/thresholds like "hundreds of thousands," please let me know.
Thank you.

Hello @kuroiwa
As far as I know there is no such limit. But to maintain healthy cmdb data, you might want to explore Archive data instead of deleting the data. Archiving will free the table as well as keep the reference fields data.
Thank you,
Ali

Hi @kuroiwa
There is no such limit. However, if you want to delete the CIs, don't do it directly. Instead, set up Archive and Destroy rules to manage the CMDB CI data.
For more details on Archive/Detroy rules please visit below prod doc.

Hi @kuroiwa
- ServiceNow doesn't publish a hard limit , but if you cross 1 Millions + CIS, It's time to think it.
- First one is Archiving Strategies.
- Performance Testings
- Indexing Plans
