Identifiers in CMDB
Are used for
- Update or Insert process by Discovery OR Integration (If IRE is enabled through script,IRE API)
- Finding Duplicates
- When the `Correctness Schedule Job` is executed, Identifiers are used to find duplicates
Since Discovery determines Update & Insert using Identifiers, if the duplicates are getting created it implies that records are being created from other sources than Discovery (Manual entry, integration, data load etc)
- During the Correctness Job, the process/logic/code for finding the duplicate is OOB, based on Identifiers
- This logic cannot be changed
- Any link to source / code where the exact OOB logic is present? - >
i.e., The Identifiers have two purpose ?? One used by IRE for update/insert and one for duplicate task creation,
Duplicate task will only be created when the `Correctness Schedule` Job runs ??
