I need to understand which is the best option to create a new Service offering record. is it from Configuration - -> Service Offering  or Service Portfolio Management --> Service offering

Both are good options to create it. It ultimately depends on your preference and the user experience you want to provide. Would you prefer a traditional form-based approach or a wizard-based interface?

Hi @dassan ,

The recommended approach is to navigate to Service Portfolio Management → Service Offerings but its depend on requirement you have. Although both navigation paths point to the same underlying service_offering table.

The Service Portfolio Management module is the preferred option because it aligns with ServiceNow's Common Services Data Model (CSDM) framework and offers guided workflows for defining pricing, commitments, and other service-related attributes.

Create service offerings in SPM  to define services, document them, track performance against defined availability commitments, and relay the performance information in real time to your end users.

Note: in my client project -  people follows Configuration - -> Service Offering 🙂

There is a new Service Builder (sn_service_builder) wizard-style app since Yokohama, that will guide you step by step.
