ServiceNow Discovery VS Data Source JDBC connection

Hi Experts,
I am working on a use case where I need to get table data from SQL database and store it in ServiceNow CMDB.
I want to know if there is any possibility of using Discovery (extending pattern) to get SQL table data in ServiceNow CMDB rather than using JDBC data source.
What is the best practice, and if ServiceNow recommends using alternate to JDBC data source?

Hi @Gaurav Sharma6 ,

I dont think so , using the ServiceNow Discovery pattern you are able to get the Data in CMDB , It will better to create Data Source with JDBC which is easier and smoother as compared to get the data using extension pattern.

As per best of my knowledge there is no alternate apart from JDBC source till the time you have the OOB Service Graph connector available for that.
