I am in the process of drafting data management policies and I haven't really found anything in particular thus far, as far as standards for how long to retain any specific types of CI data for lengths of time. I am sure the longer (safter) the better, but surely there are some standards for how long data should be kept in a retired state before archived, and how long it should be archived prior to deletion. Does anybody have any documentation the could direct me to, or perhaps prior experience they could share?
