Subject: Improving the CI Interface Experience (and Saving Our Sanity)

One area where ServiceNow could use a little TLC is the CI interface. We’ve set up notifications to nudge owners into filling out empty required fields, but the out-of-the-box (OOB) CI interface is still feeling a bit... clunky.

I’m tackling the issue of CI owners struggling with the manual upkeep of CI info. We’ve got reports and list views they can work from, but for those pesky 1-offs, they’re still stuck navigating the OOB CI form (with a few extra fields we’ve added for good measure).

One idea I’m exploring is a separate UI that makes it easier for owners to spot gaps or incorrect data—and even fix it in bulk if needed. I’m hoping a more intuitive UI will reduce the pain of reviewing CIs and encourage a more proactive approach to data quality (instead of the ongoing debate of 'Do we really need this field?').

Has anyone built a reporting tool, app, or process to streamline this? I’m all ears for suggestions to help us reduce the time teams spend updating CIs!
