What does CI class Inter connect (cmdb_ci_inter_connect) represent?

I came across the class of CI (cmdb_ci_inter_connect), and I am curious what it is meant to represent.  Generically google search results indicate "inter connect" as a communications link between two or more applications.

Considering the parent class is Application (cmdb_ci_appl), I was curious if the Inter connect class was intended to indicate a specific application?  Such as the Oracle Applications InterConnect, or something else?

Or is it intended to represent just a comm link between apps?  If so, how does the inter connect class fit-in with relationships (cmdb_rel_ci) and the endpoint classes (cmdb_ci_endpoint)?

Hi @Josh P1 ,

cmdb_ci_inter_connect is extending the Application table and it will not for the relationship between two application.

I am also tried but not found the suitable answer for this table definition. you can reach out to ServiceNow Support or HI Support to get the more visibility on this.
