I was in the K24 and fortunate to take a picture on CSDM 5 Draft at the CSDM booth on the expo floor. Interesting to see the Gen AI + Domain-LLM in the BUILD domain. @Mark Bodman, I missed both of your sessions at K24 but would be grateful if you can share some content about CSDM 5.0.

Hey @Mark Bodman , looking forward to these updates. Unfortunately most of us will not be able to visit K24. Would be nice, if you can share this updates afterwards.

Thank you for your efforts.

I just wanted to add my voice to the mix here by saying that "Service Instance" as a name is very confusing. The Instance part is very appropriate. But by saying it's a "Service" instance would indicate to many folks that it is an instantiation of a Technology Management Service or a Business Service. When in reality you can have a Technology Management Service or a Business Service without a "Service instance". In my mind, it should be tied to the Product, something like "Product Instance".

I support the name Product because the terms Application and Service refer to the IT world. We manage IT and Telecommunications products on a large network. In their world, the words service, application, and system are not appropriate.

Hi @Community Alums,

thanks for sharing. Seems that they rejected the idea to change the name of Application Service to System and want to rename it to Service Instance. I'm not sure that this will help that other in business will better understand the idea behind the Application Service. In my opinion system would be a better choice as the colleagues are currently really overwhelmed with the many service terms in CSDM. But let's give it a chance. Did they announced a release date?
